Girls Basketball: Clarion Downs Forest Area

Gia Babington had a game-high 21 points, including four buckets from beyond the arc, to lead the Clarion Bobcats past the visiting Forest Area Fires, 44-21, in KSAC Girls’ Basketball action on Wednesday (February 1st).

Clarion led 19-8 after one and with a 10-7 edge in the second, they had a 29-15 halftime lead. An 8-4 Bobcat advantage, in the third, put Clarion up 37-19 heading to the fourth. The Cats had a 7-2 edge in the last stanza to set the final.

Natalie Durish had seven points for the Bobcats. Sophie Babington scored six points, coming on two treys. Taylor Alston recorded 4 points, Marley Kline had 3 points, Alivia Diehl scored 2 points and Emily Troese had one point.

Jayden Colvin led the Fires with eight points.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Brookville on Monday (February 6th).
