Huge Number Of Wildcats Named To Pennsylvania Football News 2023 All-Academic Team

The Pennsylvania Football News (PFN) announced their 2023 All-Academic Team on Thursday, February 16th, with a large number of Central Clarion Wildcats named.

Student athletes are named to one of three teams, Gold (4.0 GPA and Up), Silver (3.5-3.9 GPA) and Bronze (3.0-3.4 GPA).

Representing the Wildcats are two seniors, eight juniors, twelve sophomores and ten freshmen.

Eight Wildcats were selected to the Gold Team.

Two juniors were selected, Brady Quinn, (running back/defensive back) and Colby Wright (offensive line/defensive line).

One sophomore was named, Matt Alston (offensive line/defensive line).

Five freshmen also made the Gold Team. They include: Brady Guth (wide receiver/defensive back), Charlie Hepfhl (running back/defensive back), Gabriel Anderson (offensive line/ defensive line), Hayden Hindman (tight end/linebacker and Mason Burford (wide receiver/defensive back).

Eleven Wildcats made the Silver Team.

The juniors are represented by Dawson Smail (wide receiver/defensive back) and Noah Naser (running back/linebacker).

Seven sophomores were selected, including Braylen Beckwith (running back/linebacker), Corbyn Brown (running back/linebacker), Jase Ferguson (quarterback/defensive back), Joshua Duncan (offensive line/defensive line), Noah Harrison (running back/linebacker), Peyton Ward (offensive line/defensive line) and Thomas Ucker (kicker).

Freshmen making the Silver Team are Brady Mckinley (running back/linebacker) and Brant Parker (tight end/defensive line).

Thirteen Wildcats were selected to the Bronze Team.

Two seniors were named, Ashton Rex (wide receiver/defensive back) and Dawson Hotchkiss (wide receiver/defensive back).

Four juniors were named, Coleman Slater (offensive line/defensive line), Jake Smith (offensive line/linebacker0, Owen Bauer (offensive line/defensive line) and Tommy Smith (tight end/linebacker).

Four sophomores were named to the Bronze Team, James Kerr (offensive line/defensive line), Jesse Siwiecki (wide receiver/defensive back), Kohen Kemmer (wide receiver/defensive back) and Noah Preston (running back/linebacker).

Rounding out the Wildcats’ Bronze Team selections were three freshmen, Briggs Beckwith (quarterback/defensive back), Hunter Lechner (running back/defensive back) and Jacob Naser (offensive line/defensive line).
