Clarion Girls Basketball Ends Season With Loss To Union Area In PIAA First Round

The Clarion Area Bobcat Girls basketball team’s 2022-23 season ended with a 47-9 loss to the homestanding Union Area Scotties in the first round of the PIAA State Playoffs, on Saturday (March 11th).

The Bobcats finished their season at 12-15.

Union Area led 17-1 after the first quarter, 28-7 at the half and 40-7 after three.

Natalie Durish led the Bobcats with three points. Taylor Alston, Gia Babington and Marley Kline had two points apiece.

Kylie Fruehstorfer had 22 points for the Scotties and Kelly Cleaver followed with thirteen.
