Bobcat Golfers Still Undefeated In KSAC Mega Match Play With Win At Clarion Oaks, Devon Lauer Medalist

The Clarion Area Bobcats kept their KSAC Boys Golf Mega Match undefeated streak alive with a win at Clarion Oaks Golf Course on Thursday (September 14th). With the win the Cats move to 7-0.

The Bobcats Devon Lauer was the match’s medalist after carding a 35.

The Cats recorded a 196 in claiming first place.

The rest of team standings looked like this: Cranberry (224) finished second; Keystone (226) was third; Moniteau (241) claimed fourth; A-C Valley/Union placed fifth; North Clarion (247) finished sixth; Forest Area was seventh; and Clarion-Limestone (259) finished eighth.

After Lauer, the Bobcats, Kam Kerle shot a 38 to tie Keystone’s Sean Karg for second; Lucas Mitrosky was fourth at 39; Avery Kline shot a 41, tying Keystone’s Braden Baylor for sixth; and Tanner Miller was ninth with a 43.

Other top ten scorers included: Cranberry’s /Cayden Baker was fifth, shooting a 40; North Clarion’s Ethan Carll, Karns City’s Chloe Fritch and Keystone’s Braden Baylor all shot 41s in a three-way tie for sixth; A-C Valley/Union’s Joe Rapp and North Clarion’s Keyon Custer and Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner finished in a three-way tie for tenth place at 44.

The next KSAC Boys Golf Mega Match is scheduled for Tuesday (September 19th) at Foxburg Country Club.

The Bobcats are also scheduled to compete in the 2023 Midwest Classic at Meadville Country Club on Saturday and Sunday (September 17th and 18th).
