Bobcats Fall To Corry And Conneaut Area In Non-Conference Volleyball Action

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference games this week, falling to Corry 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 22-25) on Tuesday (September 12th) and to Conneaut Area 3-2 (19-25, 25-12, 25-13, 10-25, 11-15) on Thursday (September 14th).

Corry Varsity Match

Addiwyn Campbell had 5 service points, 7 assists and four digs. Natalie Durish, Kelsey Best and Rihannon Copenhaver contributed six points each.

Taylor Alston recorded 10 assists, 4 kills and five digs. Hadley Campbell registered 8 kills and thirteen digs.

Marley Kline delivered on four kills.

Conneaut Area Varsity Match

Rhiannon Copenhaver led the Bobcats in service points, with 14 (3 aces). She also had 19 assists, 7 digs and a kill. Natalie Durish recorded 8 points (1 ace), 4 digs and a pair of assists. Addiwyn Campbell had 6 points (1 ace), 11 assists and six digs.

Hadley Campbell registered 18 kills, 4 points and eight digs. Taylor Alston had 4 points, 5 kills and eight digs.

Sophie Babington had 2 kills and a dig. Kelsey Best and Alicyn Burford each contributed a point and a dig. Marley Kline put down three kills. Alivia Diehl and Lauren Brinkley had two and one kills respectively.

Conneaut Area Junior Varsity Match

Aubrey Leonard led Clarion in service points with 15 (5 aces), while also getting eight digs. Addiwyn Campbell contributed 6 points (3 aces), 9 assists, a kill and a dig. Anna O’Toole had 5 points (2 aces), 8 kills and three digs. Rhiannon Copenhaver registered 3 points, 5 kills, 7 assists and six digs.

Brinley Kiskadden scored 3 points to go along with an assist and a dig. Lauren Brinkley had 3 points and a kill. Maddison Schill scored three points.

Alivia Diehl delivered 3 kills and a dig. Kelsey Best had 5 digs, two assists and a point and Eve Gilmore had a kill.

The Bobcat JVs will compete in the Freeport Junior Varsity Tournament tomorrow (Saturday, September 16th) and the Varsity and Junior Varsity will travel to Moniteau on Tuesday (September 16th).
