Karns City, All Of District Nine And Beyond Mourn Passing Of Karns City Football Standout, Longtime Coach And Educator Brad “Stackhouse” Miller, Visitation And Funeral Service Saturday (November 11th) At First Presbyterian Church In East Brady
All of District Nine and beyond morn the passing of a Fighter in the truest sense of the word.
A Fighter on the Football Field and A Fighter in Life, Karns City football standout and longtime coach and educator, Brad “Stackhouse” Miller, was a fighter to the end as courageously battled ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for 8 years.
Brad succumbed to the disease on Monday morning November 6th, at home with his family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., East Brady.
The Obituary states so well, the passion of this young man and his love for the kids:
“A 1998 Graduate of Karns City High School, Brad was a football team captain of the 1997 District 9 Champions. He then attended Waynesburg University and obtained a degree in elementary education. Brad was a much-loved schoolteacher for Karns City Area School District for the past 20 years.
“Brad enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his passion was football. His soft-spoken, kind heart found a way to be a positive influence as coach of many young football players for years.”
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 102 4th Street in East Brady.
In lieu of flowers, the Miller family suggests that memorials be made in Brad’s name to the Karns City Quarterback Club PO Box G, Karns City, PA 16041, The ALS Association of Western PA, 416 Lincoln Ave, Millvale, PA 15209 or Clarion Forest VNA 272 Perkins Road, Clarion PA 16214.
Clarion Sports Zone joins folks from throughout the entire area in sending condolences Brad’s parents Micheal and Amy (Kusick) Miller, brother Eric Miller and the entire Karns City School District, and the Karns City/Brady’s Bend/ East Brady community.
