YDL Sports Network Announces 2023 District Nine Post Season Football All-Stars; A Number Of Wildcats Named, With Three Receiving Top Honors

The YDL Sports Network announced their 2023 District Nine Football All-Stars, on Tuesday October 12th, with a number of Central Clarion Wildcats being named and several receiving Top Honors.

Wildcats’ who were named to the First Team include:

Offense – Jase Ferguson, Co-Quarterback; Jimmy Kerr Offensive Lineman.

Defense – Hayden Hindman, Defensive Lineman; Braylon Beckwith, Linebacker; Brady Quinn, Defensive Back; Jase Ferguson, Defensive Back.

Special Teams – Thomas Uckert, Co-Place Kicker.

Central Clarion players who made the Second Team include:

Offense – Dawson Smail, Wide Receiver; Coleman Slater, Offensive Lineman; All-Purpose Back, Brady Quinn.

Defense – Charlie Hepfl.

Top Award Winners for Central Clarion include:

Jase Ferguson, “Jim Kelly” Player of the Year, Individual Performance of the Year (September 1st vs. Port Allegany; Braylon Beckwith, Defensive Player of the Year; Jimmy Kerr, Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Other Top Awards went to:

Offensive Player of the Year: Braylon Wagner, Redbank Valley
Rookie of the Year: Eli Nellis, Keystone
Defensive Lineman of the Year: Brandon Ross, Redbank Valley
Special Teams Player of the Year: Owen Clouse, Redbank Valley
Coach of the Year: Joe Sherwin, Karns City
Assistant Coach of the Year: Nate Glunt, Clearfield
Game of the Year: Brookville 42 – Karns City 41, November 3rd in the D9 2A Semifinals
Unsung Hero: Myles “Casey” Jones
