The Clarion Area Girls Basketball team saw their 2023-24 season come to an end, in the PIAA State Playoffs Opening Round, on Saturday (March 9th), as they dropped a 52-29 decision to Berlin Brothersvalley at Pitt-Johnstown.

Taylor Alston led the Bobcats with nine points.

Marley Kline and scored 2 points and Natalie Durish scored one.

Coral Prosser had a game high twenty-one points for Berlinbrothers.

Bobcats Coach Sam Heeter had this to say, “Once again the girls played incredibly hard.

“Berlin is a good team, and they play incredibly physical. I thought they got away with quite a bit of extracurricular physicality particularly in the second quarter, but we still needed to make more shots than we did.

“I’m so incredibly proud of the seasons the girls had. Every game, Coach C and I got the absolute best out of them, and I’ll look back on this year with happiness regarding the season we had.”

(Congratulations on making it to the state playoffs, Bobcats!!!!)
