Boys Basketball: Bobcats Fine Season Comes To An End With Loss To Imani Christian In PIAA 1A State Playoffs Second Round

The Clarion Area Bobcats fell to the Imani Christian Saints, 79-46, in the second round of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Boys Basketball 1A State Playoffs second round at Armstrong High School, on Tuesday, March 12th.

Imani Christian, the District 7 (WPIAL) champion, is the defending state champion.

Imani led 20-7 the first period, 42-17 at the half and 68-31 after the third.

Bryce Brinkley and Devon Lauer led Clarion, which finished at 18-10, with nine points each. Bryce’s points came on three treys, while Devon had a pair from behind the arc.

Gabe Simko and Jameson McIlwain each had eight points. Dawson Smail had 6 points, Derek Smail scored 4 points and Owen Kriebel followed with two points.

Nat Brazil led the Saints with a game high nineteen points (3 treys). RJ Sledge had 12 points (2 treys) and Avery Wesley followed with ten points (2 treys).
