Track And Field: North Clarion Girls Down Moniteau And Redbank At Home

The North Clarion Wolves Girls downed the visiting Moniteau Warriors (100-48) and the Redbank Valley Bulldogs (98-48), in a home meet on Tuesday (April 23rd). The Wolves’ Boys team also won against both. A previous article on the Boys meet appears in the Clarion Sports Zone.

Gia Babington was victorious in both the 800 (2:42) and the 1600 (6:06.4) against both Redban and Moniteau. Kaitlynn Guth took first in both the 100 hurdles (17.2) and 300 hurdles (51.0) against both schools. Grace Carroll won both the long jump (15′-2/12″) and triple jump (31′-1″) against Moniteau and taking first against Redbank in the long jump.

Brenna Armstrong was first in the shot put (39′-9 1/2″) and second in the discus against both schools and Marley Kline was first in the 100 (13.7) against both. Abby Hastings finished first in the 3200 (13:22.1) and third in the 1600 against both schools. Sophie Babington was first in the 200 (30.9) in both.

Eliza Datko finished second in the 1600 against both schools and second in the 3200 against Redbank. Natalie Durish was second in the 100 and third in the triple jump against the Bulldogs and third in both events against the Warriors.

Janaya Jones finished second in the 200 against Redbank and Moniteau. Addison Siegel was second in the shot put against both. Lacey Lauer finished second in the high jump against Redbank and third against Moniteau, with Olivia Hannold doing the same against both schools in the long jump.

Bella Troese finished second in the pole vault against Moniteau. Lauren Brinkley was third in the high jump and Adeline Best third in the 300 hurdles against Redbank Valley.

All three North Clarion relay teams finished first against both schools.

Durish, Carroll, Guth and Kline teamed together to win the 4×100 (53.7), Sophie Babington, Guth, Kline and Gia Babington combined to win the 4×400 (4:39) and Hastings, Sophie Babington, O’Toole and Datko joined forces to win the 4×800 (11:30.6).
