Bobcats Have Six Players Named To YDL Sports Network All-District Nine Baseball Team, Dawson Smail Named Player of the Year

The YDL Sports Network announced their 2024 All-District Nine Baseball Team.

Six Clarion Area Bobcats made this year’s squad, including Dawson Smail, who was named Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Dawson also was named to the First Team at shortstop. He was joined on the First Team by starting pitcher, Tanner Miller; Utility Player, Devon Lauer; Second Baseman, Noah Harrison; and First Baseman, Derek Smail. Matt Alston was named to the Second Team at Second Base.

Other Top Award Winners were: Parker Stahlman, from Punxsutawney who was named both Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year; and Punxsutawney head coach Mike Dickey, who was named Coach of the Year.
