Wildcats Girls Soccer Plays Hard In Loss To St. Marys
The Central Clarion Wildcats Girls Soccer team dropped a 9-0 decision to the homestanding St. Marys Flying Dutch on Monday (September 23rd).
The Wildcats fell behind 8-0 before the half, but allowed only one score in the second.
Central Clarion goalkeeper Megan Powell had 17 saves.
Wildcats’ head coach Nicole Oakes was pleased with her team’s effort. “Kaitlin Guth was injured during last week’s games. Her speed is something we are really missing in the defense, but we’re hoping Ashlyn Clark can fill those shoes well throughout the remainder of the season.”
“Even with having to play down with 10 players and having limited subs, I continue to be proud of the girls playing through to the end of our games.”
The Wildcats will host Brookville on Saturday (September 28th) as part of a Senior Recognition Day double-header Clarion-Limestone. The Girls’ match is set for at 10 a.m., with the Boys match to start at Noon. All the Seniors will be recognized between the girls and the boys game.
(Keep up the hard work, Wildcats!!!! Enjoy Senior Recognition Day!!!!)
