Wildcats Cross Country Does Well Against Keystone And Moniteau On Wildcats’ Senior Day

The Central Clarion Wildcats Cross Country Team had a very good meet against the visiting Keystone Panthers and Moniteau Warriors, at the the Clarion-Limestone course on Wednesday (October 2nd), Senior Day for the Wildcats.

The Varsity Boys downed Keystone 15-48 and Moniteau 16-45, while sweeping the first four places.

Hayden Weber led the Wildcats with a first place time of 17:15. Jonas Wilshire was just behind Weber turning in a 17:20, good for second place and Drake Edmonds was just two seconds behind Wilshire with a third place time of 17:22.

Logan Powell was fourth in 17:33. Josh Turner had an 18:40 for sixth. AJ Mecusker ran an 18:47 for seventh place and Paul Craig finished twelfth in 19:57.

The Varsity Girls defeated Moniteau 19-39 and Keystone 15-70.

Central Clarion had a 1-2-3 finish, with Eliza Datko taking first with a 20:33, Reese Jackson was next with a 21:44 and Adisen Jackson taking the third spot, also with a 21:44 clocking.

Livia McGinley was sixth, recording a 22:42. Olivia Radaker finished seventh in 24:29 and Dana Coulson crossed the finish line in 24:37 to take eighth place.

The Junior High Boys won their race with Moniteau 24-35. Keystone didn’t compete in this contest, but A-C Valley and Union each had a runner in the race.

Wildcats Griffin Edmonds and Jackson Baker finished first and second respectively, with each turning in a time of 10:52.

Central Clarion also took the six through ten spots. Noah Frederick ran a 12:12 to finish sixth. Blaise Fleisher was seventh with a time of 12:40. Liam Moore took eighth with a 12:44. Tanner Love was ninth at 13:25, just ahead of Joe Lambing’s tenth place finish of 13:26.

Neither the Panthers nor the Warriors had enough runners to register a team score in the Junior High Girls race.

The Wildcats had the top seven times.

Hanna Love was first in 12:16, just four seconds ahead of Bryn Anderson’s second place time of 12:20. Tenley Kiskadden was third, with a time of 13:04. Lauren Emings ran a 13:11 for fourth.

In fifth place was Mya Coradi, with a 13:16. Brylie Glenn finished sixth, being clocked at 13:17 and Samatha Lewis crossed the finish line in 14:18 for seventh.

The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Ridgway Invitational tomorrow (Saturday, October 5th).
