Girls Basketball: Bobcats Lose Close Game To Wolves
The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a close 40-36 decision to the homestanding North Clarion Wolves, on Friday (December 13th).
North Clarion led 7-5 after one. Both teams hit for 7 points in the second and the Wolves led 14-12 at the half. With a 13-12 third period edge, going to the Bobcats, North Clarion led by one, 26-25 heading to the final stanza, where a 14-11 Wolves’ advantage set the final.
Marley Kline led Clarion with 10 points, while Lacey Lauer landed three treys for nine points. Alivia Diehl followed with 8 points, Sophie Babington recorded 7 and Natalie Durish had two points.
Sydney Baumcratz led the Wolves with twelve points. Ainsley Hartle and Ava Hannold had ten apiece. Hartle had one three-point basket.
The Bobcats are scheduled to host Union on Tuesday (December 17th).
