Girls Basketball: Bobcats Fall To Lions

The Clarion Area Girls basketball team dropped a 61-33 decision to homestanding the Clarion-Limestone Lions, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference action on Tuesday (January 29th). This was the Lion’s Senior Night Game.

C-L held a 19-9 lead after one and with a 14-5 edge in the second, they took a 33-14 lead into the half. A 16-8 Lions advantage in the third, had C-L up 49-22 going into the last stanza, where a 12-11 Bobcat edge set the final.

Lacey Lauer led Clarion with eighteen points, which included four 3-point buckets.

Marley Kline scored 6 points, Lilly Shirey scored 5 points, Sophie Babington had 3 points and Alivia Diehl recorded a free-throw.

Leading Clarion-Limestone were, Hannah Beggs with 12 points, Corinne Hepfl with 10 and Julianna Schwabenbauer with nine.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Kane on Friday (January 31st).
