Central Clarion Wildcats’ safety Jase Ferguson and offensive lineman Jimmy Kerr have been selected to play for the West Squad in the 2025 Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) Class 1A-3A East/West All-Star Game.

Jase was named to both the Pennsylvania Football News (PFN) Coaches Select All-State Team and the Pennsylvania Sports Writers Class-2A Teams, and was named Class 2A Player of the Year for both. Combined the yardage total was 6,393, an average of 426.2 yards-per-game.

Wildcats’ head coach Dave Eggleton shared, “I am proud of Jimmy and Jase being named to the East/West game. It is a great honor to be named to this prestigious All Star Game. It is a fitting culmination to their high school football careers. They are clearly two of the best players in Pennsylvania and are being recognized for their accomplishments.”

The PSFCA East-West All-Star Game was created in 2001 to provide more athletes the chance to showcase their talents at a high level. Originally inspired by the Big 33 Game, which pits Pennsylvania’s top players against Maryland’s. The PSFCA East-West game offers a prestigious platform for athletes who might otherwise be overlooked due to the limited roster size of the Big 33 Game.

The 2025 East-West All-Star Games will take place at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County on Sunday, May 18th. There are two games to be played: Small School (1A to 3A) 12:00 PM and Large School (4A to 6A) at 5:00 PM. This will be the fifth year in which the two game format is use. Prior to that only one East/West Game, with all classifications included were played.

Port Allegany offensive linemen Carson Neely and Juuso Young will also play for the West.

The Head Coach of the West Squad is Jesse Nagel from Bald Eagle Area. Brockway’s jake Heigel and Titusville’s Mike Reynold’s are part of the coaching staff.

Head Coach For the East is Wyoming Area’s Randy Spencer.

In another huge honor for the Wildcats, Coach Eggleton was named the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association – 2024 District Nine Coach of the Year.
