Ava shared, “It was a great time! I am super grateful to have had the opportunity to share my love for the sport of wrestling with so many young girls so close to home!

“These girls have bright futures ahead, so it is awesome to be a tiny part of their journey!

“We had lots of fun working together on different techniques, playing games, and meeting new friends. We went over offense and defense positions to a few of my favorite set-ups to takedowns, such as a underhook drag to double leg.

“We also learned a little bit of freestyle technique from the top position such as a leg lace.

“Thank you to all of the parents and others who helped put this clinic together! I am excited to continue to watch women’s wrestling grow in Pennsylvania and see these girls have success on and off the mat.

“I am thankful for Redbank Valley for having me and their support of growing women’s wrestling!”

The proceeds from the event will go to Ava to help offset some of her expenses as she goes to Spain during the month of June to participate in a study abroad course. The clinic is a labor of love for Ava as she continues her passion to grow girls wrestling in Pennsylvania.
