Wildcats Fall To Gremlins In D9 Football League Matchup

The Central Clarion Wildcats traveled to Karns City last Friday (September 26th), falling to the Gremlins 35-14.
The Wildcats scored first, with Alex Love running it through the middle of the line from 6 yards out, with fifty-six seconds left in the first quarter. Logan Bish was successful on the point after kick and Central Clarion led 7-0.
Karns City answered on a six yard touchdown run by Hunter Sheerer late in the second quarter. Brock Dittman was good on the extra-point and the score was knotted at 14-all.
Karns City’s Cole Johnston scored on a one yard run, with :05 on the clock before halftime. Dittman’s PAT was good, giving the Gremlins a 14-7 lead.
The Wildcats Briggs Beckwith intercepted a Gremlins pass at about the Karns City 30 yard line at 2:12 of the third, and returned it all the way, down the middle of the field. Bish was good again on the PAT tying the game at 14-14.
Nathan Hess scored on a forty-five yard touchdown run, for the Gremlins, with under a minute to go in the quarter. Dittman followed with the PAT, giving Karns City a 21-14 lead.
Sheerer scored his second touchdown at 7:43 of the fourth. Dittman was good once again and Karns City’s lead stretched to 28-14.
Another touchdown run by Sheerer, this time from five yards out at 2:46 combined with Dittman’s point after set the final.
SOME IMPORTANT WILDCAT STATS
Carter Hindman threw for 13-of-27 for 243 yards, 22 rushing yards; Alex Love 22 rushing yards on 10 carries and a touchdown; Mason Burford 81 recieving yards; Logan Bish 58 recieving yards 2 PATs.
The Wildcats are scheduled to travel to St. Marys on Friday (October 3rd).
