Boys Basketball: Bobcats Fall To Sailors
The homestanding Clarion Bobcats basketball team fell to the Lakeview Sailors, 54-45, in their on Wednesday (December 3rd).
The Cats led 16-6 after one period, but the Sailors held an 18-6 scoring advantage in the second to lead 24-22 at the half.
The game was close through three, with Lakeview holding a one-point 11-10 edge in the third to take a 35-32 lead into the final stanza, where they had a 19-13 edge to set the final.
Dylan Smail led the Bobcat scoring with 13 points, including a trey. Parker Miller had 11 points, with three buckets from long range.
Mason Burford scored ten points. Nathan Frederick followed with 9 points and one basket from beyond the arc. Trey Hooks finished with two points.
Keaton Urey led the Sailor scoring with sixteen. Luke Fagley had thirteen points.
The Bobcats will compete in the Keystone Tipoff Tournament on Friday (December 5th) and Saturday (December 6th).
