Capping Off Her College Career In Style, Former Clarion Bobcat All-Stater Korrin Burns Named Honorable Mention On 2025 AVCA Women’s Division I East Coast Region Team

Saint Francis University Red Flash Volleyball standout Outside Hitter, Korrin Burns was named Honorable Mention on the 2025 AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Women’s Division I All-East Coast Region Team, to cap of her astonishing college career with the pinnacle of recognition.
The AVCA names a First Team and Honorable Mention in each of ten regions from across the U.S.
To fully appreciate how monumental this recognition is, one just has to look at the conferences and programs represented.
In addition to the Northeast (NEC) Conference in which the Red Flash compete, the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big Ten Conference, the Big East Conference, the Sun Belt Conference and the Patriot League are represented.
Players from Pitt, Penn State, North Carolina, Villanova, American University, James Madison, Appalacian State, University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Virginia Commonwealth are represented. If you follow Division I Women’s Volleyball, many of the players listed below will be familiar to you.
The East Coast Region Team, along with the others (see link below), is an absolute Who’s Who of Division I Women’s Volleyball.
Korrin is only the second player in Saint Francis University’s women’s volleyball history to achieve this award in the history of the program. Madi Tyus earned the award in 2021 after being named Northeast Conference Player of the Year (and First Team), which Korrin earned this season.
Korrin finished her stellar season with 588 kills, 254 digs, 40 blocks, and 28 service aces and 23 assists. She played all 27 matches and 103 sets.
A glimpse of Korrin’s career totals is very impressive also, with 1343 kills, 65 assists, 97 aces, 1,486 points, 695 digs, 16 solo blocks, 83 assisted blocks (99 total blocks).
Saint Francis Head Coach Sara Spielvogel is glowing in her comment on Korrin’s achievement. “I am not surprised Korrin received this award, but I am very proud of her.
“She has worked so hard on the court and in the classroom her whole time at SFU.
“To end her career, getting some of the highest recognition only seems fitting.”
