Boys Basketball: Bobcats Fall To Berries In KSAC Championship Game
The Clarion Area Boys Basketball team fell to the Cranberry Berries, in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Championship Game, 53-38, at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium on Saturday, February 14th.
Clarion led 15-13 after the first period. Cranberry had a 12-10 edge in the second, to send the teams to halftime tied at 25-all.
With a 12-6 Cranberry advantage in the third, the Berries took a 37-31 edge to the final stanza, where they had a 16-7 edge to set the final.
Parker Miller led the Bobcat scoring with 14 points, including four treys.
Trey Hooks followed with 8 points, and Nathan Frederick and Dylan Smail each had six.
Mason Burford and Wyatt Watterson had two points apiece.
Blake Marchinke led the Berries with fifteen points.
The Bobcats will now host the the Brockway Rovers, on Wednesday night (February 19th), in the District Nine Class 2A Quarterfinals.
