Bobcats Drop Season Opener To Bulldogs

The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a 12-2 six inning game to the Redbank Valley Bulldogs, at Stern Field in DuBois, on Tuesday (March 25th).

The Bobcats, who were the home team for the contest, scored their runs in the bottom of the first and the bottom of the sixth.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the third, one in the fouth, three in the sixth and six in the top of the sixth inning.

The game was stopped by the ten run rule as the sixth inning concluded.

Wyatt Watterson had a single, an RBI and a stolen base for the Bobcats. Ethan Rex doubled and scored a run.

Dylan Smail had a pair of hits, scored a run and stole a base. Ethan Rex doubled and scored a run.

Billy Kahle singled and drove in a run and Carter Hindman had a hit and stole a base.

Jaxon Huffman picked up the win for Redbank.

The Bobcats are scheduled to play North Clarion at Shower’s Field, in DuBois next Tuesday (March 31st) at 4:00 P.M.
