We had our team banquet Saturday February 21st at the Clarion Moose. We celebrated Junior Varsity and Varsity successes from the year and recognized a number of awards from both their seasons.

The Junior Varsity Award Winners were: Elana Scheftic – Most Points Scored and Tenley Hoff – Highest Free Throw Percentage

The Varsity Awardees included: Alivia Diehl – Most Points Scored, Most Rebounds and Highest Free Throw Shooting Percentage, Neyma Noukouni – Most Blocks and Most Steals, and Elana Scheftic for Most Assists.

We also recognized our varsity letter winners, who earned their letter by playing in at least half of the varsity quarters this year. The letter winners were: Seniors – Kelsey Best and Alivia Diehl; Juniors – Aubrey Leonard: Sophomores – Neyma Noukouni and Elena Scheftic; and Freshmen – Jocelyn Galan and Lainey Wright.

Additionally, we recognized Brooklyn Spence as our Most Improved Player for the year.

We also recognized our team managers, Kelsey Smith and Kara Wilson, for their dedication to the team this season.

Managers who were not able to attend the banquet were: Noelle Siegel, Liv Gilmore, Kyleigh Buskirk, and Anna O’Toole.

The girls enjoyed lunch, an ice cream sundae bar, and team gifts from the boosters.

Thank you to the boosters for the hard work that went into organizing the successful event. As coaches, we truly value the opportunity to get together as a team with the parents to recognize the hard work and dedication to the program that every player, manager, and parent shows throughout the year.

Overall it was a great way to enjoy the friendships built throughout the season and thank our seniors one last time for everything they have done to build the program in their time on the team.

(Congratulations to all the Award Winners and Letter Winners, and the All the others on the team!!!! Fine Event Boosters!!!! Thanks to Coach Fox for her fine article and to Pam Oliver for her photo!!!!)
