FINAL CLARION SPORTS ZONE ARTICLE EVER

This will be the final Clarion Sportszone article ever.

I have been at UPMC Pittsburgh In Oakland for what seems like months awaiting surgery. They have allowed me several weeks at home.

With the contract on the website ending next year, I am going to let the site expire. With declining cognitive issues, I am just not able to continue. I would like to mention about the many Coaches, Area Media, Photographers (Professional and Others) who have helped me with the site through the years, mentioning none by name, as there are too many and wouldn’t want to miss anyone.

I would like to show what seems like an idiocincracy. As I’m sure you have noticed, I use all CAPITAL LETTERS in the HEADER. Whenever I traveled to major cities in the U.S., when you flipped to the Sports Page On the back, they always did it in TABLOID STYLE, ALL CAPS.

I have always wondered, sometimes working maybe as much as 50 hours when just getting starting, how I was able to do it, as I’m sure all the coaches, media and others how they did it, the underriding reason was “Its for the Kids.”

I always used editorial license, taking out anything dirrogatory to players, coaches, teams, officials, etc., with the exception of coach speak, where they may address things that need to be worked on.

From Day One, my desire was to do a site that was only uplifting, I hope I have accomlished that.

One the server contract is done, the site will be bygone to the internet etherworld.

I pray that someone would please take up the Banner and start a similar site.
