Lady Cats Volleyball Team Downs C-L 3-0 (09/19/19)

The homestanding Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-12), on Tuesday (September 17th).

Up 13-8 in the first set, Clarion got 6 straight service points from K. K. Girvan to push the lead to 19-8. Later Brenna Campbell served for 4 points to move the lead to 24-9. The teams traded service breaks to end the game.

Jordan Best had 6 service points and Korrin Burns had four in game two.

In game three, with Clarion up 16-11, Campbell had seven straight service points moving the score to 23-11. After both teams traded service breaks, Best served the final two points of the match.

Campbell had a big all-around night, scoring 15 points (2aces), dishing out 29 assists, with 8 digs and seven kills. Best had 11 points (3 aces) and a kill. K. K. Girvan scored 6 points (3 aces) and had five digs.

Burns and Kait Constantino each came up real big defensively for the Cats. Burns had 14 kills and 2 blocks and Constantino had 7 kills and eight digs. Burns also scored 6 points (3 aces) and Constantino had 3 points (2 aces). Maddie Schill was solid on defense also, with 7 kills and two blocks.

Payton Simko scored 3 points and 2 kills and Aryana Girvan had a scored 1 point and had a kill.

The Lady Cats Junior Varsity won 2-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-16)

Grace Adams led the Clarion JVs in points on serve with thirteen.

Bailey Rupert had 9 points, Adia Needham scored 7 points and Noel Anthony and Paola Lopez each had six points.

The Lady Cats travel to Knox tonight (Thursday, September 19th), to face Keystone.
