Bobcats Down Panthers In KSAC Volleyball Semifinal; Will Face Lions In Championship

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Keystone Panthers in straight sets, in their Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference semifinal, on Wednesday, October 16th, at Penn West – Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium.

Clarion used a balanced attack to as they took the three sets 25-23, 25-21 and 25-16.
Sophie Babington delivered on 11 service points (1 ace), 6 kills and five digs for the Bobcats. Addiwyn Campbell registered 29 assists, 3 digs and nine service points. Anna O’Toole scored 9 points on serve (1 ace) and had a dig.

Marley Kline had 11 kills, 17 digs and 3 service points (1 ace). Hadlee Campbell contributed 10 kills, 8 digs and two points on serve. Lacey Lauer had five service points. Natalie Durish came away with 14 digs and two points on serve.

Ali Burford had four kills and Avia Diehl had a kill and a dig.
The Bobcats now advance to tonight’s (Thursday, October 17th) Championship Match, at Tippin, against the Clarion-Limestone Lions, who downed the Redbank Valley Bulldogs 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-21) in the other semifinal. The contest is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
The Panthers and Bulldogs will vie for third place, with that contest set for 6:00 PM.
