Five Central Clarion players, Braylon Beckwith, Jase Ferguson, Kohen Kemmer, Jimmy Kerr and Jesse Siwiecki represented the Wildcats for the last time, as members of the victorious South squad, in the 10th Annual Frank Varischetti All-Star Football Game. The game was held at Frank Varischetti Field in Brockway on Friday, June 27th.

The contest is part of the 59th Annual Brockway Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration and included members of the Class of 2025 who played for one of 19 District Nine League schools.

The South won the contest 42-6, with Jase being named the South Offensive MVP and Braylon being selected as the South Defensive MVP.

The South led 14-0 after one quarter, 29-0 at the half and 32-0 after three.

Ferguson completed 7 of 12 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns (the first from 28 yards out to Siwieki) and also ran for a 10-yard touchdown near the end of the first half. He also caught a pass on a two-point conversion.

Jimmy had a big night on the offensive line, along with his line mates, providing pass protection and opening big holes for the run game.

Jess and Kohen came up big catching the ball, with Jess catching the game’s first touchdown, a twenty-eight yard strike from Jase. Jess set that score with a twenty-six yard punt return. Kohen caught a three yard touchdown pass from Jase for the first score of the second quarter.

Braylon and his defensive teammates registered eight sacks.

Prior to the game, sponsors presented their Special Awards, with each including a $1,000 scholarship.

Jase won the Next Tier Bank award and Jesse won the S&T Bank award.

The North Offensive MVP was Kobe Shepard from Coudersport and the Defensive MVP was Brockway’s Johnny Varischetti.

The head coaches were: South – Brandon Snyder from Punxsutawney and North – Jake Heigle from Brockway.

Central Clarion Wildcats Coach Dave Eggleton shared, “I couldn’t be prouder of the young men from our team who represented the South team so well. Jase Ferguson had a tremendous game—throwing for two touchdowns and running in another—earning MVP honors alongside Braylon Beckwith, who was everywhere on defense and played with heart and intensity.

Kohen Kemmer and Jessie Siwiecki each made key touchdown catches, stepping up in big moments. Jimmy Kerr was dominant on the offensive line, controlling the trenches and helping power the offense.

“I want to extend a sincere thank you to the Varischetti family and Nick Hoffman for organizing another top-notch event that continues to provide outstanding opportunities for the players of District 9.

“We’re also grateful for the scholarship opportunities this event makes possible. Jase’s scholarship and Jessie’s scholarship are fitting recognitions of their dedication and performance.”

(Congratulations to Jesse, Kohen, Jimmy, Braydon and Jase on your great high school and to you and your South teammates on this win!!!! Congratulations to all the players from both squads for your selection to the game!!!! Thanks to the contributing photographers!!)
