Volleyball: Bobcats Down Warriors In Straight Sets
The Clarion Bobcats downed the homestanding Moniteau Warriors, in straight sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-18) in their Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference match on Tuesday (September 16th).
Emily O’Toole led the Bobcats’ scoring with eleven points (2 aces). Lacey Lauer followed with 10 points (3 aces), while also registering 7 kills and seven digs. Marley Kline had 8 points (1 ace) and delivered 21 kills and twelve digs.
Anna O’Toole had 8 points (1 ace) 16 digs and an assist. Addiwyn Campbell delivered 6 points (1 ace), 39 assists and seven digs.
Bella Atkins had a point and a dig. Alivia Diehl registered 5 kills and two digs. Juliet Diehl and Maddy Schill had 3 kills each and Schill also had a dig. Elizabeth Estadt and MiKayla Dolby had 2 and one kills respectively.
Coach Shari Campbell shared, “Our win over Moniteau was a nice balance of offense. It is great to see Marley Kline stepping up in all areas of her game.
“Looking to see our team’s passing continue to get more solid with each match we play.”
The Bobcat Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-16, 25-10).
Bella Atkins led Clarion with 18 points (7 aces) and six digs. Elizabeth Estadt had 5 kills and Kara Wilson provided twelve assists.
The Bobcats will travel to Union tonight (Wednesday, September 17th).
