Bobcats Down Lions In Five Sets, In District 9 1A Volleyball Quarterfinal

The sixth seeded Clarion Bobcats won a tight five set (13-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-23, 15-7) over the third seeded Clarion-Limestone Lions, in their District 9 1A Volleyball semifinal, at C-L, on Thursday (October 23rd).

Alivia Diehl led the Bobcats’ scoring with 20 service points (3 aces), to go along with 6 kills and four digs. Lacey Lauer had 12 points (3 aces), 23 digs and three kills. Marley Kline amassed 31 kills, 27 digs and two points.

Addiwyn Campbell registered 39 assists, 10 digs, 5 points (1 ace) and three kills. Anna O’Toole had 9 points (2 aces), 16 digs and an assist.

McKayla Dolby registered 4 points, 4 digs and a kill. Maddy Schill had 4 digs. Elizabeth Estadt had three kills. Bella Atkins had an assist.

Bobcats’ head coach Shari Campbell said, “This was a great win for this team and our seniors stepped up in a big moment. We are excited to keep growing as a team and go after the next one.”

The Bobcats will advance to the semifinals, next Tuesday (October 28th), as they travel to Port Allegany to take on the second seeded Gators. The match is set for 6:30 P.M.
