Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Orioles

The Clarion Bobcats downed the visiting Rocky Grove Orioles 63-57 in their boys basketball matchup, on Monday, December 22nd.

Clarion led 19-16 after one period. Rocky Grove had a 13-12 edge in the second, giving Clarion a 31-29 halftime advantage. The Orioles scored 14 to the Bobcats’ 11 in the third, to take a 33-32 lead into the final stanza, where a 16-14 Clarion edge set the final.

Nathan Frederick led the Bobcats with 20 points (1 trey), while Dylan Smail scored fourteen. Mason Burford also hit double-figures with ten.

Parker Miller added nine points (1 trey). Quinn O’Neil had 4, with Trey Hooks and Wyatt Watterson each scoring two points.

Landon Carter had twenty-two points for the Orioles.
