Boys and Girls Track Teams Drop Tri-Meets (04/03/14)

The Bobcat Boys and Girls Track Teams competed in Tri-Meets on Wednesday. The boys traveled to West Sunbury to face Moniteau and Karns City, while the girls were at home against the same two schools.

The Bobcat boys dropped their contests to the Gremlins, 116-34 and to the homestanding Warriors, 103-46. The Lady Cats fell to Karns City, 110-40 and to Moniteau, 86-55.

For the Bobcat boys, Liam Raehsler won the 1600 (5:03) and 3200 (11:11) and was second in the 800. Zach Hill won the High Jump (5-10). Ian Corbett finished second in the 100 and third in the 200.

Corbett qualified for Districts in the 200. He also qualified as a member of the 4×100 Relay Team along with Matt Wagner, Zach Hill and Cody Hearst.

In the girls meet Laken Ganoe won the Triple Jump (33-2). Taking seconds for the Lady Cats were: Maddison Weaver – Long Jump, Julie Kenneson – High Jump, Forrest Mills – 800 and Jenn Ochs – Javelin.

Getting thirds were: Ganoe – High Jump, Gloria Kroh – 300 Hurdles and Triple Jump and Grace Kroh – Shot Put.

Kenneson and Ganoe both qualified for Districts in the High Jump.

Clarion will compete in the Brookville Invitational on Saturday.
