Clarion Hosts J.V. Softball Tournament (04/07/14)

On a cold and blustery day (Saturday, April 5), Redbank Valley beat Johnsonburg 15-1 for the championship in the annual Clarion J.V. Tournament. The Clarion Moose cooked and provided food for all players, umpires, and fans in attendance.

The Clarion J.V. team lost to Johnsonburg 16-4 and to Clarion-Limestone 15-12.

In the Johnsonburg game Keanna Over had two hits and scored three times to lead the Clarion offense. Cora Zerfoss drove in three of the Bobcats runs on two hits. Caitlyn Hill and Stephanie Kahle also scored runs for the Clarion offense while Riley Fox recorded the other Bobcat hit.

In the second game against C-L,  Stephanie Kahle  led the Clarion offense, scoring 3 runs on a pair of hits and a walk. Brooke Burke and Aliya Reed had a pair of hits with Bowser scoring twice and Reed once. Cora Zerfoss also scored a pair of runs while Lexa McGill, Erica Peterson, with a hit and a run apiece. The Bobcats had a huge second inning as they sent 13 batters to the plate scoring nine times. Keanna Over and Keilani Rupp also helped the Cat attack by scoring runs.

Keanna Over pitched both games and struck out five C-L batters in the second game.
