CRVS U10 Boys Victorious At Grove City (05/05/14)

(By Mindi Verdill)

The Striker U-10 Boys team met up with Grove City’s Jackson team on Sunday, May 4th. The Strikers looked strong from the beginning with some quick footwork and passing between Nate Megnin, Bailee Verdill and Kaleb Wolbert. Which lead to the first goal of the game by Kaleb Wolbert.

Grove City was able to answer that goal pretty quickly with one of their own to tie the score 1-1. Bailee Verdill found his soccer groove and scored 3 goals before the half.

Tyler Bingham made several saves as goalie and the strong defense provided by Nick Hull, Niko Todorov and Braden Smith held Grove City to that one score before the half.

Despite the great passing and teamwork by the Stiker boys, Grove City came out strong in the second half and they were able to score 2 additional goals. Curt Womeldorf and Conner Albertine had shots on goal that just missed the net.

The boys’ perseverance and teamwork led the team to a final score of: Strikers 4 Grove City!
