Delta Contractors Wins Two In Clarion Little League Action (05/15/14)

Delta Contractors won two games in Clarion Little League action recently. Delta Manager, Scott DiTullio provides this recap.

Delta 4 – Lions 3

Delta Contractors came up with their first win of the season  against Lions. Delta’s pitching was the key for success as Noah DiTullio and Chase Kriebel combined for five scoreless innings. DiTullio started the game, pitching three innings facing nine batters and recording six strikeouts. Chase Kriebel’s two innings brought the same results while facing nine batters and striking out five. Bryson Huwar took the mound in the top of the sixth inning facing eight batters, as the defense played strong to help bring home the win.

 
Offensively for Delta Chase Kriebel had a double and Cole Slaugenhaup ripped a triple. Lions Pitcher Nick Frederick worked four innings striking out six and gave up one hit and three runs. Logan Learch worked the bottom of the fifth inning on the mound for Lions, giving up one hit and striking out two. Offensively for Lions Aiden Quinn ripped a double and Ben Smith had a single.

Delta 3  –  Rotary 2

Delta Contractors improve to 2-5 with a win over Rotary in Clarion Little League Action on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Paul Weaver Park.

Rotary jumped out to load the bases in the first inning, but Cole Claugenhaup battled on the mound to get out of the jam allowing one hit through five innings. The Delta bats came to life in the first inning with four hit attack. Brady Fowkes, Cole Slaugnehaup hit singles, and Bryson Huwar and Corbin Coulson ripped a doubles. Slaugenhaup and Huwar lead the hit attack over all with 2 hits apiece. Kriebel and DiTullio each singled.

Kriebel came in to pitch in the top of the sixth inning and Rotary scored two runs Cradock and Rankin each singled.

Delta returns to action on Friday, May 16th for the late game.
