Ian Corbett A Triple Winner Against Raiders (05/06/14)

Ian Corbett was a triple winner in a losing cause against Brookville on Monday as the Bobcats Track Team fell to the Raider Boys by just one point, 73-72. The Lady Cats fell in their meet with the Lady Raiders, 90-54.

Among Corbett’s wins was the 100, where he broke his own school record that he set this past weekend at The Oil Country Invitational. He bettered his ‘old’ record of 10.90 with a 10.88. Prior to Saturday, the record stood for 13 years, held by Taylor Sessions since 2001, the season the Bobcats won their second straight PIAA State Team Title. Sessions ran a 10.94.

Corbett was also victorious in the 200 and was a member of the 4×100 relay (45.78), along with Matt Wagner, Zach Hill and Cody Hearst.

The Bobcats had two double winners, Liam Raehsler, who won the 1600 (4:50.65) and 3200 (10:19.62) and Wagner who won the long jump (17-4). Also gathering first place finishes were Addison Hockins in the discus (84-1) and Antonio Troese in the 800 (2:08.29).

Hearst took second in both the 100 and Javelin. Hill finished second in the high jump and third in the 200. Josh Kriebel finished second in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and long jump. Adam Bettwy placed second in the 3200 and third in the 1600. Damien Cherico took second in the 800 and Brandon Phillips had a second in the 400.

Wagner had a third in the 100. Levi Barger placed third in the discus and javelin. Prince Brooks finished third in the 400 and Ty Burford took third in the triple jump.

Laken Ganoe was a double winner for the Lady Cats, taking both the long jump (15-2.5) and triple jump (33.3). Ganoe also finished second in the high jump. Forest Mills qualified for districts with a winning time of 2:35.86 in the 800. She also was second in the 1600. Gloria Kroh won the 100 hurdles (19.02). Hannah Frakes won the 3200 in a time of 14:32.54. Her sister Lilli finished second in the event.

Also finishing first for the Lady Cats was Jenn Ochs, who won the javelin with a throw of 113-11. Ochs took thirds in the other two throwing events, the discus and shot put.

Katie Eustice (100 hurdles) and Janelle Toy (800) and Grace Kroh (shot put) each had second place finishes. Grace Kroh also had a third in the triple jump.

Emily Phillips (400) and Julie Kenneson (high jump) finished third.
