Number Of Bobcats And Lady Cats Named To 2014 KSAC Spring Sports All-Conference Teams (05/19/14)
The Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference has announced their 2014 Spring Sports All-Conference Teams which include a number of Clarion Area Bobcats and Lady Cats. All-Stars were named for Boys and Girls Track and Field, Baseball and Softball.
Two members of the Clarion Track and Field Squads were named MVP. Liam Raeshler was named Boys’ Track MVP and Laken Ganoe was named Girls’ Co-Field MVP along with Redbank Valley’s Brooke Hinderliter. Boys’ Field MVP was Nick Popoleo of North Clarion. Girls’ Track MVP was Jill Wallace, also from North Clarion.
Raehsler was named to the First Team in the 1600 and 3200; Ganoe was First Team in the Triple Jump and Second Team in the High Jump.
Ian Corbett was named First Team in the 100 and Second Team in the 200. Julie Kenneson was named First Team in the High Jump. Antonio Troese was named to the Second Team in the 800 as was Jenn Ochs who was named in the Javelin along with Redbank Valley’s Lynde Edmonds. Two Bobcat Boys Relay Teams also made the Second Team, the 4 x 100 and the 4 x 800.
Four members of the Bobcat Baseball Team were named All-Conference. Tanner Corbett and Max Lane were named to the First Team. Corbett was named as an Outfielder and Lane was named as a Catcher. Lane was also named to the Third Team as a Pitcher.
John Katis and Brendan Miller were named to the Second Team Infield.
Cranberry’s Dylan Cyphert was named Baseball MVP. He was First Team both as a Pitcher and Outfielder.
The Lady Cat Softball Team had one representative, with Keanna Over being named to the Third Team as an Outfielder.
Moniteau’s Kennedy DeMatteis was named Softball MVP. She was a First Team Pitcher.
