German started on the mound and was dominate from the beginning striking out 2 and getting a ground out to first in the opening frame.

The same duo also charged the Rotary offense as German reached on a 1 out single and scored on Goheen’s double. Goheen then scored on Greg Kalinowski’s single and after 1 inning Rotary had a 2-0 lead.

Following an uneventful Rotary 3rd, German took the mound again in the top of the 4th. He got the first batter to ground out to first before striking out the next batter. German was then pulled in favor of Goheen for pitch count restriction reasons. German finished his outing pitching 3 2/3 perfect innings, striking out 9 and not allowing a Burns runner to reach base safely. Goheen didn’t let up either as he struck out his first batter to end the 4th.

German drew a 1 out walk in the bottom of the 4th and driven home when Goheen hit a deep home run over the center field bleachers to give Rotary a 6-0 lead after 4 innings.

Goheen started off the 5th by recording a strikeout before walking Jordan Pezzutti to end the perfect game. Pezzutti never advanced any further than first base as Goheen recorded 2 more strikeouts to preserve the no hitter through 5.

Rotary added its 7th and final run in the bottom of the 5th when Cam LaPinto’s triple scored Hunter Craddock who singled to lead off the inning.

Goheen walked Reese Gieger to lead off the top of the 6th before recording a strike out on the next batter. He then induced a ground out to German at short for the 2nd out of the inning. The final out was a struggle as Goheen fell behind 3 balls and 1 strike before inducing a ground out to 2nd baseman Hayden Siegel to end the game.

Siegel and Braden Rankin also had singles for Rotary in the 7-0 victory.

For Burns Tyler Schmader recorded 2 strikeouts and Hayden Callen collected 7 while on the mound.
