Corbett and Miller Make D9Sports.com Week 3 Honor Roll (09/17/14)

Clarion Bobcats Ian Corbett and Brendan Miller were named to the D9Sports.com Football Honor Roll for Week 5, for their stellar play in a 67-0 home win against Clarion-Limestone.

Corbett carried the ball 7 times for 112 yards and 4 touchdowns and Miller completed 2 of 4 passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. He ran the ball 4 times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Miller also returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.

The Players of the Week were the entire offensive line from KSAC foe Moniteau, as well as Warrior backfield mates, running back Josh McBride and quarterback Cody Skiver.

The Moniteau line, which featured starters Shonn Kline, Brendon Stamm, Sean Hall, Brantlee Alexander, Vance Noah and tight end Derek Boben paved the way as the Warriors ran for 680 yards on 60 carries and seven touchdowns in a 48-12 home victory over Port Allegany.

McBride, had 373 yards, on 22 carries and two touchdowns. Skiver also had 22 carries. He gained 201 yards and scored two touchdowns. Skiver also threw for 41 yards, as the Warriors accumulated 721 yards in total offense.

Other KSAC players named to the Honor Roll include: Perry Arrington, Braxton Giaviadoni – Punxsutawney, Jake Dougherty – Redbank Valley, Chet Carmichael and Lane Cicciarelli – Union.

Others from around the rest of District Nine named to the Honor Roll were: Hunter Miller – Brockway, Nick Stewart – Curwensville, Devin Clark – DuBois, Ryan Seelye – Elk County Catholic, Mitchell Smith – Elk County Catholic, John English – Kane: Ben MacDonald – Ridgway and Adam Higby – Sheffield.
