Lady Cats Volleyball Team Downs Forest Area (09/16/14)

The homestanding Clarion Area Volleyball Team downed Forest Area tonight (Tuesday, September 16), 3-0 (25-5, 25-5, 25-7).

Morgan Dehner had a big night, scoring 20 service points, including nine aces. Sophie Wolfe had 14 service points, with eleven of them being aces. She also had a dig. Johnna Rapp put down 5 aces among her ten service points. Rapp also had a dig.

Anna McNamara and Jenn Ochs each had a very good all-around games. McNamara had 6 service points, including 3 aces, 9 assists, a kill and a dig. Ochs had 7 service points, 5 of them aces, 7 kills and two digs.  Two other girls who turned in fine all-around games were Gloria Kroh and Keanna Over. Kroh had 2 aces among her 4 service points, 3 kills and seven assists. Over had 2 points, one of them an ace, 5 kills and four digs.

Maya Thornton had a kill and a dig, anna Reed had 3 digs and Brooke Allen had a dig.

The Lady Cat JVs played just one game against the Fire tonight, coming away with a 25-11 win.

Alexis Constantino scored twelve points. Alexa Kriebel had 5 points and a dig. Sydney Kiser  scored 3 points and also registered a kill and a dig. Devon Quinn scored a point and contributed a dig. Maya Miller scored a point and Maya Thornton had a kill.

The Lady Cats will travel to Cranberry on Thursday (September, 18) and then will host their annual tournament on Saturday (September, 20).
