JV Girls Basketball Team Goes 2-1 In 3 Recent Games (02/04/15)

The Lady Cat JV Basketball Team went 2-1 in recent games verses Redbank Valley, Cranberry and Forest Area.

They fell to homestanding Redbank Valley by one point, 33-32, on Wednesday, January 28th, defeated Cranberry 27-22, at home, on Friday, January 30th and won 28-18 at Forest Area, on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The score was close after each quarter, at Redbank Valley. The Lady Cats held a 7-6 lead, after one. The Lady Bulldogs held a 17-16 lead, at the half and a 25-24 lead, after three.

Sophie Wolf led Clarion with eight points. Kelly Beveridge had 7, Maya Thornton and Alexis Constantino each scored 5 and Gloria Kroh had four. Jenna Beichner scored 2 points and Sadie Rudesyle had one.

In Friday’s Game, the Lady Berries led 4-2, after the first period. The Cats held a 12-10 lead, at the half and a 17-15 lead, after three.

Beveridge led Clarion with fourteen points. Constantino had three points. Wolf, Rudesyle, Thornton, Kroh and Chelsea Mason each had two points.

This Tuesday, Beveridge led the Lady Cat JVs again, scoring twelve points. Wolf added 6, Constantino had 5, Thornton 3 and Rudesyle, two.

The Fires led 5-4, after one period. The Cats led 8-7, at the half and 14-13, after three, before pulling away for the 28-18 win.
