Lady Cat JV Basketball Team Goes 1-1 against VC and NC (02/15/15)

The Clarion Area Junior Varsity Girls went 1-1, in games with Venango Catholic and North Clarion recently.

On Friday, February 6th, at Venango Catholic, the Lady Cats fell 26-24 .

Venango Catholic led 8-5 after the first period and 14-6, at the half. Clarion outscored the Lady Vikings 7-6 in the third, moving the score to 20-13, VC. A 9-6, Clarion advantage, in the fourth, set the 26-24 final.

Sophie Wolf and Alexis Constantino led the Cats, with 8 points each. Kelly Beveridge had 4 points, Jenna Beichner had 3 and Maya Thornton scored one point.

On Monday, February 9th, the Lady Cats downed the She -Wolves 27-18, at home.

Clarion led after each period: 6-2 after one, 10-2 at the half, and 17-14 after three.

Kelly Beveridge led Clarion with eight points. Alexis Constantino and Jenna Beichner followed with 6 points each. Sadie Rudesyle scored 4 points, while Sophie Wolf chipped in with three points.
