Lady Cats Win D-9 Class-A Basketball Playoff Opener (02/18/15)

Three Lady Cats scored in double figures as Clarion downed homestanding Otto-Eldred,63-43, in the First Round of the District 9, Class-A playoffs, on Tuesday (February, 17th).

Maci Thornton #24 had 27 points, Lauren Wiser #21 had 12 points

Maci Thornton had a huge night, scoring 27 points, while collecting 8 rebounds and gathering six steals. Nicki Glenn had 14 points and Lauren Wiser added twelve.

Clarion held the scoring advantage in each period. The Lady Cats led the Lady Terrors, 18-11 after one. A 14-7 Bobcat advantage, in the second, set the halftime score at 32-18, Clarion.

A high scoring third quarter saw the Cats collect 19 points to the Terrors 16, moved the score to Clarion 51 – Otto-Eldred  34.

With a 12-9 edge in the fourth, the Lady Cats came away with the 63-43 win.

Also contributing in the scoring for Clarion were: Kelly Beveridge with 6 and Gloria Kroh and Maddi Weaver with two points apiece.

Nicki Glenn #22 scored 14 points for the Lady Cats

Camyrn Thomas led Otto-Eldred with fifteen points.

The Lady Cats will face next door neighbor Keystone, in the Quarter-Finals.
