Coach Ed Baumcratz had some touching comments about his four seniors:

“Julie, Lauren, Maci & Nicki,

“Stepping into the new coaching position at Clarion Area was an incredibly difficult decision for me. Coach Walter left big shoes to fill and at times I questioned taking this position. Watching you grow as basketball players, leaders and as women have made it worth while.

“I want to thank you seniors for believing in me and making this transition seamless. The four of you have set such a high threshold of how to act on and off of the court. I am so proud of you and do not want to see you go. I wish we had another year!

“When the National Anthem plays and I start mentally prepping for the game, I get a rush of excitement as goosebumps fill both arms. It’s game time and I know I have four girls by my side that have continued to stay positive, and play harder than anyone I know.

“No matter what you do, please know that I am proud of you and know you’re going to do great things in life. I’m always here for you.

“Lastly… thank you for being … YOU.”
