Bobcat JV Baseball Team Sweeps Double Header (04/29/15)

The Clarion Area JV Baseball Team hosted Redbank Valley in a double header, on Saturday (April 25th), at Paul A. Weaver Park. The Bobcats won both games, taking the opener 13-4 and winning the nightcap 7-4.

Bobcat Christian Smith, playing first base had two homers on the day

Christian Smith had solo homers in each game.

In the opener: Reed Anthony had 2 hits, driving in 2 runs, while scoring twice. Cameron Craig had 2 hits, 3RBIs and scored once. Sterling Conner had 2 hits, driving in a pair. Smith had 1 hit, the four bagger. Caleb Wilson had 1 hit and scored a pair of runs. Spencer Miller had a single, drove in a run and scored once. Kyle Patterson had a hit an RBI and scored a run. Ryan Anthony singled and scored a run and Dominic Fleming had an RBI and scored twice.

Spencer Miller picked up the win throwing 3 innings with four strikeouts. Craig and Smith saw action in relief, with each recording a pair of strikeouts.

Smith started the second game and had two strikeouts. Reed Anthony came on and threw ten strikeouts, to pick up the win.

Smith had two hits, including the homer. He drove in 2 runs. Craig had 2 hits and scored twice. Ryan Anthony had a pair of hits and scored once. Miller and Reed Anthony each had a hit and scored a run. Fleming had two hits.
