Lady Cats Fall To Karns City And Moniteau In Track And Field Opener (04/03/15)

The Clarion Area Girls Track  and Field Team faced Karns City and Moniteau on Wednesday (April 1st) and came away on the short end against both schools, falling to Karns City 104-46 and to Moniteau 107-43.

The Lady Cats had some good individual performances. Julie Kenneson won the high jump against both schools, with a District Meet qualifying leap of 4′-10.” Jenn Ochs also qualified for Districts with a throw of 107′-6″ in the javelin, which was good for a first against KC and second against Moniteau. She also placed  second in the discus against Karns City and third in the shot put against Moniteau.

Allison Harriger took first place in the 1600, against both schools. Forest Mills won the 800 against both schools, in 12:09.3 and a first against Moniteau  and second against Karns-City, in the 400, at 1:07.04. Gloria Kroh finished first in the triple jump aggainst Moniteau, with a leap of 29′-8.5.” She was second in the 300 hurdles against both schools.

The 4×800 relay was first against KC, with a 12:09.03.

Claire Saylor finished second in the shot put and Chelsea Mason finished second in the 800, against Karns City. Mason finished third against Moniteau in the 800.Katie Eustice had a third in the high jump against both schools and a third against Moniteau in the 100 hurdles. Hannah Phillips and Devon Quinn tied for third, against Moniteau, in the 100.

Zoe Shaffer finished third in the 400 and Lili Frakes finished third in the 3200 against Moniteau.

The Lady Cats will return to action on Wednesday (April 8th) when they host North Clarion.
