Fall Sports Practices Underway, Bonfire Next Thursday (08/22/15)

The 2015 Fall Sports Season is beginning and many Clarion Area athletes are now taking part in preseason workouts. The golfers have already started play.

Athletes are participating in a number of different sports, including Varsity, JV and Junior High Football; Varsity and JV Volleyball; Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity and JV Soccer (Co-op with Clarion-Limestone); Boys and Girls Varsity and Junior High Cross-Country; and Boys and Girls Golf.

The Booster Clubs  will host the Annual Bonfire next Thursday (August 27th). Event coordinator, Cindy Nellis released this announcement about the event:

The 5th Annual Bobcat Bonfire Kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, August 27th at 7:15pm at the Clarion Area High School football field.

Soccer drill

This event is held to celebrate the beginning of the school year and the start of another exciting Bobcat Fall sports season. Highlights of the event includes a performance by the exciting Clarion Area High School Band, a spotlight of the spirit generating cheerleading squad and the introduction of our fall sports athletes. The event concludes with a ceremonial bonfire, cheers and celebrations. Bobcat Fans are encouraged to come out and participate in the Bobcat Bonfire Kick Off , refreshments will be provided by the Fall season booster clubs. See you there!!!
