Number Of Bobcats And Lady Cats Honored With All-KSAC Spring Sports Selections (05/25/16)

Clarion Area High School is well represented on the various 2016 Spring KSAC All-Conference Teams, announced earlier this week. The Bobcats and Lady Cats had a total of twenty-two student athletes named to the Squads, including seven First Team selections, twelve Second Team selections and three Third Team selections.

First Teamers include: Baseball: Adrian Weber – First Base, Brendan Miller – Infield; Softball: Sadie – Rudesyle Pitcher, Carly Best – Designated Hitter, Maya Thornton – Outfield; Girls Track and Field: Forest Madison Mills – 800 meter run, Wendy Beveridge – Long jump.

Members of the Second Team are: Baseball: Reed Anthony – Outfield, Leo Aiello – Catcher, Adrian Weber – Pitcher; Softball: Anna Reed – Infield, Keanna Over – Infield, Sydney Kiser – Outfield; Girls Track and Field: Gabby Weaver – 300 hurdles; Boys Track and Field: Adam Bettwy – 1600 meter run, Josh Kriebel – 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Marshall Powers, Austin Hummel, Adam Bettwy and Kyle Bettwy – 3200 Relay.

Third Team selectees are: Softball: Johanna Rapp Catcher; Baseball: Reed Anthony – Pitcher, Caleb Wilson – Outfield.

This year’s MVP’s include: Baseball: Sam Leadbetter – Clarion-Limestone; Softball: Kennedy DeMatteis – Moniteau; Girls Track and Field (Track) Gabriella Stewart – Moniteau, (Field) Maura Kimmel – Moniteau; Boys Track and Field: (Track) Collin Dunmyre – Karns City, Wyatt Hetrick – Redbank Valley, (Field) Chandler Turner – Karns City.
