Golf: Bobcat Boys Finish In Tie For Second In First KSAC Mega Match Of 2016 (08/23/16)

The first Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Golf Mega Match was held on Friday (August 19th) at the Foxburg Country Club.

The Clarion Area Bobcats finished in a tie for second with Cranberry at 260. Moniteau won the event with a 227 total. Keystone and Venango Catholic rounded out the top five.

Moniteau’s Weston Kimmey was the medalist after carding a 40. His teammate Cortney Claypoole finished in second, one stroke behind at 41. There was a four-way tie for third.

Bobcats Cam Craig and Josh Craig finished in a four-way tie for ninth with A-C Valley’s Ethan Nevel and Karns City’s Logan Pistorius, six shots off the pace at 46.

Other Clarion Area golfers competing were Skyler Rhoades at 54, Nick Frederick at 55, Ben Murtha at 59 and Mitch Geiger at 64.
