Lady Cats Down Lady Rams In District Volleyball Quarterfinal (11/03/16)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats Volleyball Team hosted the Johnsonburg Lady Rams in a District Nine Class-A quarterfinal game tonight (Thursday, November 3rd) and came away with a straight set, 25-13, 25-18, 25-21, victory.

The win will move the Lady Cats into Championship Saturday, this coming Saturday at St. Marys High School. The Lady Cats will host A-C Valley in the semifinals. The semifinal winners will advance to the championship match.

The Lady Cats had some fine individual performances, while playing without starter Maya Thornton, who is out with an injury. Alexis Constantino led Clarion in service points, with 11, including an ace. She also had twelve digs. Sydney Kiser scored 8 points, two of them aces. She also contributed 5 kills and eight digs.

Gloria Kroh had a big all-around night with 6 service points, including 2 aces, 26 assists, 5 kills and six digs.

Olivia Burns had 3 points, 15 kills and five digs. Kaitlyn constantino scored 7 service points, including 3 aces and had two digs. Lexi Lauer scored 2 service points, on of them an ace, while delivering 8 kills and eight digs. Maddie McNamara had two service points and a dig.

Devon Quinn had 1 service point, 3 assists and a pair of digs. Hailey Sintobin had six kills.
