Student Council Hosts Game Night (03/25/17)

(By Clarion Area Student Chelsea Mason)

Where can you find volleyball games, relay races, basketball games, and shooting competitions all in one night? No place other than Clarion Area High School gymnasium! On Tuesday, March 21st Clarion Area Senior High Student Council hosted a game night for students ranging from Kindergarten all the way up through seniors, as well as faculty from the elementary school and high school. The event had refreshments, snacks, and lots of school spirit.

The night started out with the elementary faculty playing a volleyball game against the high school faculty, with the elementary teachers finishing victorious. The Juniors then played the Seniors for an upperclassmen showdown. The seniors taking the win put them head to head with the elementary faculty. The teachers were no match for the class of 2017 however, with the seniors taking it all.

To accompany these games, the elementary students not only got to cheer on their teachers but also participate in a game of Knock Out basketball and relay races.

The night also included a half-court shot competition. To wrap up the night the educators of Clarion Area took on the Varsity girls and boys basketball team for a, not so close, game that left the Varsity teams with bragging rights over their teachers.

This annual night of games was a great atmosphere for all the Bobcat pride Clarion Area brings and Senior High student council is looking forward to this event for years to come.

(Thank you for this article Chelsea. Great job!!!!. Great photos, student council!!!!)
